The Uttarakhand administration suspended the block education officer, Kirti Nagar, Tehri district Damyanti Rawat for her involvement in financial irregularities of Rs 70 crore when she was the secretary of workers’ welfare board under the Labour department. The secretary, Education Ravinath Raman issued the suspension order.
Notably, she had been given charge-sheet on December 13 and attached to the office of the chief education officer of Tehri district.
