Be prepared- very heavy rain likely in Dehradun & Bageshwar today

Following very light to moderate rain in some parts of the State on Thursday, the State meteorological centre has issued an orange warning (Be Prepared) regarding the possibility of heavy to very heavy rainfall and thunderstorms accompanied with lightning/intense to very intense spells of rain likely to occur at isolated places in Dehradun and Bageshwar districts on Friday. The District Magistrate Dehradun has announced a holiday today considering the weather warning.
The meteorological centre has also issued a yellow warning (Watch) regarding the possibility of heavy rainfall and thunderstorms accompanied with lightning/intense to very intense spells of rain likely to occur at isolated places in Pauri and Chamoli districts of Uttarakhand. Thunderstorms accompanied with lightning/intense spells of rain are also likely to occur at isolated places in the remaining districts of the State today.
Apart from this, light to moderate rain/thunderstorms are likely to occur at many places in Almora, Champawat and Udham Singh Nagar districts and at most places in the remaining districts of the State.
The provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to witness a partly to generally cloudy sky. Few spells of light to moderate rain/thundershowers are likely to occur, of which one or two may be intense/heavy in some areas. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 33 degrees Celsius and 25 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun today.
Meanwhile, parts of the State witnessed very light to moderate rain on Thursday. The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded were 33.4 degrees Celsius and 26.2 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 36.4 degrees Celsius and 26.4 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 22.1 degrees Celsius and 16 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 25.5 degrees Celsius and 19.2 degrees Celsius in New Tehri.
