Be updated- heavy rain likely in Dehradun & seven other districts today

Parts of Dehradun witnessed moderate to heavy rain on Wednesday night though no major damage was reported till the time of this report being filed. Meanwhile, the State meteorological centre has issued a yellow warning (Be Updated)
regarding the possibility of heavy rain likely to occur at isolated places in Dehradun, Pauri, Tehri, Nainital, Champawat, Udham Singh Nagar, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh districts on Thursday. Thunderstorms accompanied with lightning/intense to very intense spells of rain are likely to occur at isolated places in all the districts of the State. Apart from this, light to moderate rain/thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli and Almora districts and at most places in the remaining districts of the State today. The provisional State capital Dehradun is likely to witness a generally cloudy sky. Few spells of light to moderate rain/ thundershowers are likely to occur, of which one or two spells may be intense/heavy in some areas.
The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various places on Wednesday were 31 degrees Celsius and 22.7 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 31 degrees Celsius and 24.5 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 23.6 degrees Celsius and 15.1 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 24 degrees Celsius and 17.6 degrees Celsius in New Tehri. The rain recorded in various places on Wednesday was 18.5 millimetres in Jhulaghat, 18 millimetres in Pokhri, 15.5 millimetres in Thalisain, eight millimetres in Kichha, 7.5 millimetres in Tanakpur, six millimetres in Devidhura and four millimetres in Gadarpur.
