Become job givers not seekers : Governor

The governor Lieutenant General (retd) Gurmit Singh said that the students should become employment givers instead of standing in queues in search of the jobs. He said this while addressing the sixth convocation ceremony of DIT University here on Saturday.
Congratulating the students and their parents he said that the role of the youth is very important in making India a world leader in every sphere. Singh exhorted the students to prepare themselves to lead India during the Amrit period for next 25 years. He said that the youngsters should usher in a new revolution while moving on the path of technology, research, artificial intelligence and drone technology.
The governor said that we should move forward with a new vision for serving the country and the students should inculcate the five basic mantras given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Congratulating the DIT University for 24 years of its successful journey, the governor said that the university has a good educational environment and infrastructure facilities. The vice chancellor of the university, G Raghuram presented an account of the achievements of the university and the innovations undertaken by it on the occasion.
In the ceremony the governor conferred degrees on 1,237 students and handed over medals to 36 meritorious students.
The chairman of the university Anuj Agarwal, chancellor N Ravishankar, advisor R C Goyal and others were present on the occasion.
