In latest news from Doon, amid efforts to elevate the Jolly Grant to an international airport, the first direct flight to be operated by Vistara Airlines between Dehradun and Bengaluru is all set to commence on March 15. The first flight with passengers on board from Bengaluru is scheduled to land at the Jolly Grant at 2.55 pm on March 15 while the same plane will take off from Jolly Grant on way to Bengaluru airport at 3. 25 pm. Those associated with the tourism industry look happy at the prospect of this direct flight service giving a fillip to the tourist influx from southern India to Uttarakhand.
