Best ever pass percentage in the history of U’khand board

In the Covid-19 affected process 99.56 % and 99.01 % students declared pass in class XII and X respectively
The pass percentage of the students of class XII and X of Uttarakhand Vidyalayi Shiksha Parishad (UVSP) witnessed a major jump this year. In class XII, the pass percentage was 99.56 per cent while 99.01 per cent students of class X passed this year. The Education minister Arvind Pandey released the board results in Ramnagar on Saturday. As the process of examination was affected by the pandemic of Covid-19, the Uttarakhand board did not release any merit list this year for both class XII and X.
In class X a total of 1,48,347 candidates were registered this year out of which 1,47,725 were included in the examination process and out of them 1,46,386 were declared pass. The girls had a pass percentage of 98.86 while 99.30 per cent boys passed this year in class X. A total of 1,45,666 belonging to institutions were enrolled in class X this year and their pass percentage was 99.16. In this class 2,681 private students were enrolled and they have a pass percentage of 95.12 per cent. In class X a total of 76,768 students passed with first division while 45,589 got second division marks.
In class XII a total of 1,22,198 students were enrolled and out of them 1,21,171 were admitted in the examination process. In this class the boys had a pass percentage of 99.40 while girls had a pass percentage of 99.71. In this examination 1,18,130 institutional (Schools) students were registered and their pass percentage was 99.60 while 4,068 private students were registered. Their pass percentage was 98.31. In class XII 63,901 students got first division while 33,571 received second division marks.
The class X and XII examinations this year were not held this year due to the pandemic of Covid-19. The board came up with a formula to pass the students based on which the results were declared.
