Better to debate proactively than making a mockery, says Bhagat
The Bharatiya Janata Party state president Banshidhar Bhagat said that instead of making a mockery of democratic institutions, the Congress should focus on proactive debate in the Vidhan Sabha. He said that the behaviour of the Congress in the Vidhan Sabha has always been indiscriminate and lacking decorum. This is the reason why it staged a dummy Vidhan Sabha without considering the dignity of democratic institutions like the Assembly. The BJP State president said that organising a dummy Vidhan Sabha is akin to making a mockery of the House. He said that it is because of such actions that the people have stopped taking the Congress party seriously. Bhagat said that the Congress has gone astray from public issues and is ready to go to any extent to undertake its misleading propaganda. The Congress should remember the incidents that have taken place in the past.
When the people had elected the Congress to office, it moved towards scams, corruption and political instability. The infighting in the Congress had also exerted a negative impact on the development of the state. Even in the Vidhan Sabha, the Congress has been according priority to raising ruckus instead of debating on issues of public importance. This is the reason why the Congress has been shrunk down to a few seats but still continues to suffer from factionalism inside the Vidhan Sabha. The Congress is divided into various factions on the road too, opined the BJP state president. “It would be better if the Congress debates in a proactive manner on issues related to development instead of indulging in dispute. The people have rejected the Congress and it is because of such comical programmes that now the people are not even taking the party seriously. The BJP has the full support of the public while the Congress has been exposed,” said Bhagat.
