Bhakt Darshan’s role in freedom struggle unforgettable: CM

Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that a major role was played by the late Bhakt Darshan in the freedom struggle of the country and to protect the interests of the State. Dhami participated in the golden jubilee programme of Bhakt Darshan government post graduate College in Jaiharikhal in Pauri on Monday. Paying his rich tributes to the late leader , the CM felicitated his daughter Meera Chauhan on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the CM announced that separate blocks for post graduate courses in Science and Arts would be set up in the college. He said that in PG classes in Physical sciences and Mathematics in science section and Sanskrit, English and Geography in Arts section would be opened in a phased manner. Dhami said that vocational and skill development courses would start in the college. The CM directed the district magistrate of Pauri to construct the boundary wall of the girl’s hostel of the college. He said that the college has provided skilled and gifted manpower and its alumni are giving their services in the fields of the Army, administration and police. Dhami said that his government is working on the principle of Zero pendency and mantra of simplification, solution, disposal and satisfaction. He said that sincere efforts are being made to link the youth with the employment and create self employment opportunities for them. He made announcements to construct mini stadiums in the Nainidanda and Jaiharikhal blocks of Pauri. The CM also made announcements of many development projects for the area.
Bhakt Darshan Singh was a union minister, parliamentarian and educationist. The MLAs Dilip Singh Rawat, Renu Bisht, Pauri DM Ashish Chauhan, senior superintendent of police (SSP) of Pauri Sweta Chaubey and others were present on the occasion.
