PIONEER EDGE NEWS SERVICE/Dehradun

The Bharatiya Shiksha Board (BSB) regional office was inaugurated in Lucknow by the Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education minister Gulab Devi, Swami Ramdev and others in the compound of Christian College on Tuesday.

Speaking on the occasion, Gulab Devi said that the education being provided in English-medium schools has become directionless and inspires one towards western culture. The initiative undertaken by Ramdev through the BSB will develop the character of children. The minister assured that the UP government will provide all necessary cooperation to the BSB.

Ramdev said that an education revolution is about to start from Lucknow on the basis of the BSB in the way a Yoga revolution had started in the past. Any student who studies from this board will not become a terrorist or characterless person. He said, “I am confident that children who study from Bharatiya Shiksha Board will not become terrorists, cruel or violent. The situation is bad across the world when it comes to education. The parents are concerned about the future of their children with such education because the children have become afflicted by digital addiction due to mobile phones and social media.  The Bharatiya Shiksha Board is working to protect the children from such negative aspects,” he said.

BSB chairman NP Singh also expressed his views on the occasion.
