The Bharatiya Janata Party State president Mahendra Bhatt has taken up the task of strengthening the booth management in the Vidhan Sabha constituencies where the party lost in the last Assembly election. So far he has toured six out of 23 such Vidhan Sabha constituencies.
Interacting with the media here on Sunday, Bhatt said that the party is working day and night to achieve its target of securing more than 50 per cent votes in all the 11,729 booths in the State. “Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami is touring two to three Vidhan Sabha constituencies each day in support of the party candidates while I am holding meetings of the booth management committees at the Vidhan Sabha level to make every booth a strong fort of the party. I have started this effort by focusing on the 23 Vidhan Sabha constituencies where we lost in the last Assembly elections. So far, I have covered six Assembly constituencies including Almora and Dwarahat to be covered today. Earlier, I held meetings of the booth management group in Badrinath, Rudraprayag, Pratapnagar and Yamunotri. On Monday, I will hold meetings in Khanpur and Manglaur constituencies,” Bhatt said.
He further said that the party is fully confident of its victory in the Lok Sabha election but is making its best efforts to ensure there is no error till the voting. In his meetings with the booth management Bhatt is trying to finalise the strategy for the next one week so that the programmes to be held in this period can be organised successfully to maximise the trust of the public in the party.
