Responding to the statement of the BJP State president Mahindra Bhatt on the party rebels of the urban local body elections, the chief spokesperson of Uttarakhand Congress Garima Dasauni has said that Bhatt lacks courage to act on the senior leaders. She said that Bhatt has asked the rebels to take back their nomination papers or face action.
Dasauni said that Bhatt failed to take action when serious allegations of corruption and having assets more than his known sources of income were leveled on cabinet minister Ganesh Joshi. She said that Satish Nainwal, the brother of Ranikhet MLA Pramod Nainwal was arrested at Indo- Nepal border with 40 live cartridges but no action was taken by the BJP.
Dasauni added that similarly no action was taken in the multi -crore horticulture scam.
She said that despite their statements which went against the party stand no disciplinary action was taken against MLAs Munna Singh Chauhan, Arvind Pandey and Mahant Dilip Singh Rawat. The Congress spokesperson averred that the BJP president Bhatt can take action on small workers only.
