The Union minister of State for Tourism and Defence Ajay Bhatt released the first calendar of Garhwali language at his office here on Thursday. Titled ‘Baramas-2022’, the calendar is dedicated to the freedom fighters of the state. Speaking on the occasion, the minister said that the calendar includes the details of the freedom fighters which would give an opportunity for the youngsters to know about them. The patron of the Pen India Foundation (PIF) which released the calendar, Dr Prakash Keshaviah said that the foundation is providing free and quality education to poor children. The co-founder of foundation Santosh Budakoti, Sanjay Garola and Bhagwati Prasad Upadhyaya were present on the occasion.
