Bhimtal mishap toll rises to 5, one airlifted to AIIMS

In latest news from Uttarakhand, the death toll of the State Roadways bus mishap at Bhimtal has gone up to five while the condition of several passengers onboard the ill-fated bus is stated to be serious. One of the injured was airlifted to AIIMS Rishikesh, given his critical condition. The bus, heading towards Haldwani from Pithoragarh with 29 passengers onboard, plunged into a gorge near Bhimtal. The last who died has been identified as Diksha Prakash (21) from Haldwani.
While all those injured are being treated at Susheela Tiwari Hospital the critically injured have been kept at ICU. A senior doctor treating these patients said that the condition of six is critical and another has been admitted at AIIMS Rishikesh, given his deteriorating condition. He also said that a team of senior doctors from AIIMS Rishikesh had come and conducted surgeries on the serious patients.
