In latest Uttarakhand news, as the administration has issued an order upgrading Bhimtal’s status from nagar panchayat to municipal council, this is expected to usher in fresh development here, particularly in the tourism sector. Notably, the administrative order had been issued two days after the Bhimtal MLA Ram Singh Kaira met the State principal secretary urban development R K Sudhanshu and demanded the upgradation of status for his constituency. The people living in this constituency limit are happy in anticipation of faster development of the region. They say that tourism activities in Bhimtal, Nakuchiataal and Sattal will be further boosted with the administrative order.
