The former Union Minister of State for Defence and Member of Parliament, Ajay Bhatt performed the formal ‘Bhoomi Pujan’ of the bridge construction work involving an estimated cost of Rs 10.72 crore on Begul river along the Kashipur-Sitarganj National Highway near Bari on Wednesday. He directed the NHAI higher officials to ensure the completion of the bridge within the stipulated time so that traffic congestion is mitigated.
He said he was grateful to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami for the bridge construction work-a longstanding demand of the people in the region.
The project director, NHAI, Achal Jindal assured that the construction work of the 81 metre long bridge will be completed by March 2027.
