In latest news from Uttarakhand, Bijrani and Sitavani zones under Ramnagar forest division are all set to open for tourists on October 15 while Dhikala zone under the same division is opening on November 15. Preparations are now going on in full swing in anticipation of heavy tourist footfall. As soon as the monsoon season begins, the Bijrani zone of Corbett National Park is closed. Night stay is not allowed during this time. Sitavani and Phato zones adjacent to Corbett Park are also closed for tourists.
Informing this, the Corbett Park’s warden Amit Gwasikoti said that they were now engaged in repairing guest houses and improving solar framing. After Dhikala zone was opened, night stay arrangements would be made for the visitors in Sarpduli, Gairal, Khinanauli, Bijrani, Jhirna and Dhela, he added.
