The Dehradun regional branch office of Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) organised an awareness programme involving the students of the Government Inter College Majri Grant on Tuesday. The object of the programme was to raise awareness among the students on the standard quality of the goods to be purchased, said the director of the BIS Dehradun branch office Sudheer Bishnoi. He also enlightened the students on the principal activities of BIS like hallmarking, ISI marking and BIS Care. Scientist Mohit Prabhat spoke to the students on the standard quality of various kinds of air conditioner machines.
Bishnoi claimed that several students and teachers of the Government Inter College had participated in the awareness programme. They said they had been benefited by the knowledge imparted to them, he added.
