A two-day workshop on Draft Standardised Development and Building Regulations, 2022 for the State of Uttarakhand organised by Dehradun branch office of Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) along with its Civil Engineering Department concluded here on Thursday.
The objective of the workshop was to disseminate the draft development and building regulations prepared by BIS in line with the National Building Code of India 2016 as well as leading national and international practices for better, efficient and transparent building regulation. This document is also aimed towards bringing uniformity in structuring and detailing of provisions in the regulations as well as the key approval processes throughout the country without sacrificing any specific/unique area specific need of the various States/UTs and their bodies.
BIS Dehradun head and senior director Sudheer Bishnoi, joint director Madhurima Madhav and others addressed the participants in the workshop. Officials of various departments, authorities and corporations attended the workshop.
