The Bharatiya Janata Party State media in-charge Manveer Singh Chauhan has accused the Congress party of indulging in its age-old practice of selling election tickets, describing the latest allegations by Congress workers as a repeat of its tainted record. Chauhan extended his sympathies to disgruntled Congress workers and remarked that the chaos within the party stems from its leadership’s anticipation of an electoral defeat.
Commenting on videos of Congress ticket aspirants alleging malpractice, which have gone viral on social media, Chauhan termed the situation both unfortunate and disgraceful. He criticised the Congress for repeatedly undermining its workers and stated that the party’s inability to learn from its past mistakes has led to its consistent downfall. “This is Congress’ dark truth that surfaces in every election. Their record of defeats is a direct result of their neglect of loyal workers and their addiction to corrupt practices,” he said. Chauhan accused the Congress leadership of not only disregarding its workers but also of perpetuating unethical practices within the party. He alleged that a party accustomed to selling the nation during its tenure in power is now plagued by the habit of selling election tickets internally.
Chauhan further claimed that the BJP’s double-engine government has won the trust and admiration of the public, which leaves Congress candidates with little to no chance of winning elections. While acknowledging that the issue is internal to Congress, Chauhan asserted that such incidents are detrimental to political integrity and ethical governance. He also criticised Congress leaders for their hypocrisy, accusing them of spreading lies about the erosion of democracy in the country while allegedly murdering democracy within their own party. Chauhan expressed confidence that both BJP and the public are well aware of Congress’s reality. He claimed that Congress workers are now awakening to their party’s misdeeds. It is time for voters to teach Congress another lesson in the ensuing elections, he added.
