With the ruling BJP gearing up the upcoming urban local body (ULB) elections, an important meeting was held in Shri Dev Suman Nagar under Mussoorie assembly constituency attended by the party’s metropolitan president Siddharth Aggarwal. Among others present was the Shri Dev Suman Nagar Mandal president Pradeep Rawat.
Addressing the meeting, Aggarwal said that the popularity of the party at the local levels is based on the character of the workers. “All the workers are entitled to demand ticket for contesting the local body elections. But one of them will be given ticket. The ticket distribution is decided in a democratic process in the party. BJP will win on the hard work to be put by the activists whoever the candidate is,” he said and added that the party activists should focus on small but important works like sanitation and drinking water in the localities.
