BJP celebrates poll results in U’khand, nation

The Bharatiya Janata Party workers celebrated the majority secured by the National Democratic Alliance in the Lok Sabha elections. BJP State president Mahendra Bhatt and chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami headed the celebrations at the party’s State office in Dehradun. Bhatt said that the BJP candidates winning in all the five parliamentary constituencies in the State for the third consecutive time is a stamp of the voters’ approval on the development works done by the State government. He said that the decisions taken by the Dhami government to maintain the form of Uttarakhand as Devbhoomi also contributed to making the victory great in the nation.

Addressing the gathering of party workers and media persons at the BJP State office, Bhatt thanked the people of Uttarakhand for electing BJP candidates for the third consecutive time in all the five Lok Sabha constituencies of the State. He said, “There was already a wave in the nation in favour of re-electing Prime Minister Narendra Modi to a third term in office. The people converted their appreciation for the works done in Uttarakhand on various developmental parameters into results. The unprecedented and decisive steps taken by CM Dhami to retain the form of Uttarakhand as Devbhoomi made the State famous in the nation and also contributed to making the victory great.” The BJP State president also exhorted the party workers to be prepared for the local body elections to be held in the future. Before that the party had achieved a resounding victory in the Vidhan Sabha by elections in Champawat and Bageshwar, Haridwar three-tier Panchayat election and the Rudraprayag Panchayat vice chairperson election. Citing these poll victories, he told the party workers that the party has to maintain its cent per cent record of victories in the future too.

Chief minister Dhami also expressed his views on the occasion. The newly elected MP from Tehri Mala Rajya Laxmi Shah, Rajya Sabha member Naresh Bansal, cabinet ministers Prem Chand Agarwal, Ganesh Joshi, MLAs Khajan Das, Savita Kapur and other party leaders were also present on the occasion.
