BJP committed to helping affected people of Joshimath: Kaushik

Special invitee to the Bharatiya Janata Party national executive, Madan Kaushik said that in its recent meeting, the party resolved to stand with the disaster affected people of Joshimath. Addressing the media at the party’s State office here on Friday, Kaushik said that information about the land subsidence in Joshimath, the scientific survey and the relief works by the government and party was provided to all executive members. Following detailed discussion on the disaster, the executive assured of all possible assistance to the people of Joshimath. It was stated that work on the long term solution as recommended by the expert committees will be executed in Joshimath.
Kaushik said that ambitious development schemes underway in the BJP governed States were also discussed in the meeting. Works being undertaken in Uttarakhand under the leadership of chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami were appreciated and cited as a model for other states, he averred.Kaushik said that the executive thanked the Central government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the schemes being executed for socio-economic development of citizens, reconstruction and beautification of the nation’s cultural and religious heritage and for making India an economic-strategic power in the world, adding that it will raise public awareness about the same.
