Thanking the public for enthusiastic participation in the ULB polls, the Bharatiya Janata Party State president Mahendra Bhatt claimed that the voters had chosen the BJP for a ‘triple-engine’ in the urban areas. Rejecting the allegations and claims of the opposition as baseless, he opined that it would be routed in these elections. Bhatt appreciated the work done by party workers in support of its candidates in the 100 urban local bodies in the State, adding that the BJP had been successful in its strategy to convince the voters at the booth level. The people had voted for the works done by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, he said.

“The feedback we received on the polling is motivating for us. We were successful in making the issue of development the focal point of this election. This is the reason why people wanting development in their areas voted on the basis of the track record of PM Modi and CM Dhami. We can say confidently that the people have voted for the BJP candidates for developed, green, prosperous and secure local bodies. The opposition attempted to gain votes by appeasement but the people of Uttarakhand have once again thwarted this move,” the BJP State president averred.
