BJP control rooms resolve 1,320 issues related to Covid patients

Parties should refrain from politics & contribute to helping the public- Kaushik
The control rooms set up by the Bharatiya Janata Party in its 14 organisational districts and Dehradun to help people in the second wave of Covid-19 have received 1,820 calls so far out of which necessary help was provided to resolve the issues of 1,320 callers. The party will soon prepare a panel of doctors to enable patients to seek medical consultation from home. Stating this while addressing the media at the party’s state office on Friday, the BJP state president Madan Kaushik said that in this time of the pandemic, all political parties should set aside their political thinking and undertake social work to help the public.
Kaushik said that this is the time to join forces to resolve the problems being faced by the public.
The BJP state president said that the Covid pandemic is affecting the whole nation and the world. He said that being a political party, it was the responsibility of the BJP to resolve the problems of the public. Kaushik informed that 1,140 calls were received at the BJP’s district control rooms and 670 at the state control room of the party- totaling to 1,820 calls. Out of these, the problems of 1,320 callers were resolved. Most of these problems were related to medical oxygen, patients looking for hospital beds and other related issues. Kaushik said that the party’s central leadership has issued directions for all party workers to serve the public. The party’s national president JP Nadda, party’s state in-charge, co in-charge, general secretary Kuldeep Kumar, chief minister Tirath Singh Rawat and Kaushik himself review the situation daily at 8 PM. Considering the problems being faced the party opened a control room in Dehradun on April 21 and in the districts on April 26. Kaushik averred that there is no shortage of oxygen in the state at present. The government is taking a series of decisions to boost the fight against Covid while the party workers are involved in ensuring that the benefit of the government decisions reaches the public. Stating that the party will also set up a panel of doctors to enable patients seek consultation on the phone, Kaushik said that earlier he had been contacted by a number of families whose issues were resolved by doctors. He said that more than 60 per cent of these cases are being resolved at home without the need for hospitalisation or medical oxygen. The BJP state president also requested political parties to refrain from playing politics and instead suggest solutions which benefit the public. He said that earlier the CM had talked to representatives of all political parties and had also implemented the useful suggestions received from them.
Later, Kaushik also met the CM and informed him about the efforts being undertaken by the party to help the people amidst the pandemic. He also suggested to the CM that free ambulance service be facilitated to take Covid patients to the hospital and also for transporting bodies of Covid patients.
