BJP crushed as INDIA bloc wins 11 out of 13 seats: Selja

The in-charge of Uttarakhand Congress Kumari Selja has said that the INDIA bloc has given a crushing defeat to the BJP by winning 11 out of 13 Assembly by-elections held in seven States of the country.

 In a statement she said that the by-elections were held in West Bengal, Bihar, Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab and Himachal Pradesh and the results have shown  that the people of the country are fed up with the lies of ruling BJP.  Selja claimed that the people are showing faith in the Congress party. Congratulating the Congress party workers of Uttarakhand for victory in Badrinath and Manglaur constituencies, she said that their hard work has triumphed.

The Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Karan Mahara said that the victory in both seats of Uttarakhand is victory of people and all the alliance partners of INDIA bloc have played a role in the victory.

The leader of opposition (LoP) in State Assembly Yashpal Arya said that the results have shown that religion is a subject of faith and not of political trade.

 The vice president of Uttarakhand Congress Suryakant Dhasmana said that the message from Badrinath and Manglaur seats is clear that people have rejected the policies and politics of BJP. He said that result in Badrinath shows that “god abhors betrayal”.
