BJP declares presidents for its 19 organisational districts in Uttarakhand

The Bharatiya Janata Party on Monday announced the names of district presidents for all of its 19 organisational districts in Uttarakhand. The list includes several leaders who have been reappointed to their positions as per the list issued by BJP on Monday.
The BJP State president Mahendra Bhatt informed that among the key appointments, Pratap Singh Bisht has once again been named the district president of Nainital while Govind Samant has been appointed as the district president of Champawat. In Dehradun, Siddharth Agarwal has been entrusted with the responsibility of leading the city unit, while Meeta Singh has been named the district president of Dehradun (Rural). Other notable appointments include Bharat Bhushan Bhatt in Rudraprayag, Girish Joshi in Pithoragarh and Gajpal Bartwal in Chamoli.
The party has also restructured its leadership in other districts, with Uday Rawat taking charge in Tehri, Manoj Pal in Kashipur and Kamal Kishore Rawat in Pauri. In Rudrapur, Kamal Jindal has been named district president while Mahesh Nayal will take on the role in Almora. Raj Gaurav Nautiyal has been appointed as the district president of Kotdwar. Nagendra Chauhan has been given the responsibility of leading the party in Uttarkashi. Bhatt said that the BJP has also ensured representation for women leaders, with Madhu Singh appointed as the district president of Roorkee and Prabha Gadiya taking charge in Bageshwar.
Bhatt extended congratulations to all newly elected district presidents and stated that with these appointments, the BJP aims to strengthen its grassroots organisational structure in Uttarakhand. The newly appointed district presidents are expected to play a crucial role in mobilising party workers and ensuring a strong presence at the local level. Under their leadership, the party will secure victory in the upcoming 2027 Vidhan Sabha elections, he added.
