BJP defends change of name

The Bharatiya Janata Party State head and Rajya Sabha member Mahendra Bhatt has said that names of locations have been changed to do away with signs of slavery and torture.Bhatt claimed that this decision is vital. Responding to Congress’ objection he said that the Congress prefers invaders to natives.
Bhatt welcomed the renaming of 17 locations in four districts of the State. He said that this will ensure the protection of the State’s culture and heritage. At a time when the BJP is struggling to handle its house, Bhatt said that the people were asking for long to rename these sites on patriots and others connected with culture and history.
Bhatt said that he had been raising the demand for renamaining these locations.Bhatt also targeted and questioned the Congress even as the BJP government continues to fail on multiple fronts.
