BJP defers all party events on Saturday after Balasore mishap

Following the Balasore tragedy, the Bharatiya Janata Party postponed all its programmes scheduled to be held on Saturday as part of its Maha Sampark Abhiyan across the State. The decision was taken on the directions of the BJP State president Mahendra Bhatt. The party’s State president expressed grief at the train mishap in Odisha. Paying tributes on behalf of the party to all those who had died in the mishap, he also prayed for strength to the bereaved family members. The BJP State president also wished a swift recovery to all those who have been injured in the mishap.
Meanwhile, the party’s State media in-charge Manveer Singh Chauhan said that gatherings will be held by the party in all district headquarters to pay homage to the victims of the train mishap. All the planned events of the party to be held at the Lok Sabha level in all the districts as part of the Maha Sampark Abhiyan on Saturday were postponed. The Press conferences to be held by party leaders Nitin Patel in Tehri and Ashwini Tyagi in Almora along with MPs were also deferred, added Chauhan.
