BJP discusses various plans in core committee meeting

Ahead of the elections in local bodies, cooperatives and the Lok Sabha polls, the Bharatiya Janata Party is planning to boost its activities focused on nationalism and contact with various sections of society. The outline of such activities planned in the month of August was discussed in the party’s State core committee meeting held here on Sunday evening. The BJP national general secretary (Organisation) BL Santhosh, State in-charge Dushyant Kumar Gautam, State president Mahendra Bhatt and chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami among other party leaders were present in the meeting held at a local hotel.
Addressing the media the BJP State president Mahendra Bhatt said that various issues were discussed in the meeting which lasted for more than an hour. He said that the core committee members discussed the major programmes to be undertaken by the party during the month of August in the State. The party will undertake the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign in an elaborate manner across the State. He said that as part of the Amrit Sarovar programme, the party is planning to put up an inscription regarding the local martyrs or other major achievers in various fields near the Amrit Sarovar in every Gram Panchayat to keep the memory of such personalities alive. “In addition to this, as part of the Mera Desh Meri Mati initiative, soil from the homes of martyrs and great personalities will be taken for the garden planned to be developed at Kartavya Path in New Delhi. This initiative is aimed at inspiring the citizens of the nation and we will take the support of all sections of society for this,” said Bhatt. The BJP State president further said that the party will also focus on enhancing its communication with some sections of the society which are comparatively less connected with the party so far. The party workers and leaders will be active in view of the coming elections in municipal bodies, cooperatives and the Lok Sabha elections. Bhatt said that the party will also work to further enhance its communication and coordination with scheduled caste, scheduled tribes and various other sections of society. The Members of Parliament will also undertake tours of their respective constituencies and interact with the public. “We are also planning to revive the Atal Chaupal while also focusing on the tours of ministers especially in rural areas of the State. The party will also work to facilitate tours of State and Central government representatives to various areas of the State where they will also spend the night and interact with the local residents,” said the BJP State president.
