BJP expels 20 rebels for anti-party activities

The Bharatiya Janata Party expelled 20 rebels from the party for a period of six years. The BJP State media in-charge Manveer Singh Chauhan informed that the rebels had been expelled on the directions of the party’s state president Madan Kaushik for anti-party activities and contesting the Assembly elections against the official party candidates. Those expelled include Pavan Kumar Chauhan from Lalkuan, Ajay Verma from Laksar, Tek Vallabh from Roorkee, Nitin Sharma from Roorkee, Darshan Lal Shah from Ghansali, Bhuwan Rana from Nanakmatta and Ajay Tiwari from Kichha. Similarly leaders expelled from the party in the party’s Dehradun Mahanagar unit include Gajendra Panwar, Rajan Panwar, Mukesh Kandwal, Umesh Pundir-all from Doiwala, Bir Singh Panwar, Ganesh Uniyal, Rajendra Chauhan, Vinod Rawat, Giriraj Uniyal, Suraj Mehra, Saurabh Uniyal and Abal Singh Bisht- all from Dharampur along with Dinesh Rawat from Dehradun Cantt. Earlier, on February 3, the BJP had expelled six rebels including its sitting MLA from Rudrapur, Rajkumar for contesting as independent candidates.
