BJP goes for the kill on last day’s campaigning
PNS/ HARIDWAR
BJP launched an all-out campaign led by the in-charge cabinet minister Satpal Maharaj and the State party chief Mahendra Bhatt on the final day of campaigning for the Shivalik Municipal Council poll slated on Thursday.
Participating in a massive road show, both urged the people to give the contender for the post of the chairperson of the council Rajiv Sharma a thumping victory. They also canvassed votes for the candidates for the councillors’ seats. Invoking the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his special attachment with Uttarakhand, they appealed to the people to ensure a triple engine development through electing BJP at Nagar Panchayats, Nagar Palika Parishads and Nagar Nigams where polls are slated.
