Reacting to chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami’s warning to the opposition during the Bharatiya Janata Party’s foundation day programme on Sunday, the Congress has opined that the CM was referring to the BJP when referring to those trying to divide the people. The Congress also alleged that the CM and the BJP government have remained silent on important issues.

The Congress chief spokesperson in the State Garima Dasauni said, “It seems as if the chief minister presented his own biography because since assuming office, he has focused more on regionalism and casteist issues while talking little on development, the issue of human-wildlife conflict, youths falling prey to substance abuse and the mining mafia.” She further alleged that the CM had remained silent on rapists, not talked about other important issues like employment, price rise and the recruitment scam. “They didn’t really focus on Gairsain and the land laws but talked on Jihad during the past three years while their own leaders put forth regionalism,” the Congress leader alleged.

She further said that it was sad to see that the CM had to cite achievements of the Central Government as apparently, he lacked achievements of the State government. Dasauni also accused the BJP of focusing mainly on appeasement and polarisation while limiting its focus on unemployment, price rise and the poor state of the economy.
