The BJP leader and Haridwar district in- charge of Scheduled Caste front Sanjay Kumar was killed in a road accident in Bahadrabad area on Wednesday. He was travelling in a car with his wife Suman, son Abhijeet (12) and daughter Tanushri (15) from Bahadrabad to Dhanauri village of the district when a truck allegedly hit the car. The wife and children sustained serious injuries. The police admitted them to a private hospital for treatment, the officials said. According to them, the accident was so severe that the car was blown to pieces. Kumar died at the spot while the remaining family members sustained severe injuries. The officials informed that the condition of the deceased’s wife was quite critical. The officials said that nobody from the family was in condition to talk about the accident due to which, the police are yet to ascertain how the accident actually happened. The truck driver also fled the scene soon after the accident. The police are looking for him, the officials added.
