The leader of opposition (LoP) in the state Assembly Pritam Singh has said that internal squabbles in state BJP are now coming out in the open. Interacting with the media persons on Wednesday he said that recent visits of the BJP leaders to Delhi and their meetings with the central leaders there clearly points towards the prevailing situation in the BJP. The LoP in the state assembly said that the statement of the BJP leaders and candidates blaming the party leaders for working against them in the elections shows the internal dissension and frustration within the BJP. “The candidates of the BJP are complaining that their prospects were sabotaged by the party leaders in the elections so we are now witnessing a rush towards Delhi. These leaders are now explaining their position to the party,’’ he said.
On the issue of leadership of Congress, Singh said that the central leadership of the party had decided that the elections in Uttarakhand would be fought under collective leadership. He added that after the elections also the decision taken by the central leadership would be acceptable to everyone.
