In latest news from Doon, while latching on to the ruling BJP in the run- up to the Urban Local Body polls slated on January 23, the Uttarakhand State Congress spokesperson Shishpal Singh Bisht said that extremely callous to the plight of those living in the city’s slum colonies, the State government has been deceiving them by promulgating ordinance after ineffectual ordinance. To buttress his point, he cited the recent NGT order which had rejected such an ordinance. “This has deepened the glom of uncertainty for those residing in the slum colonies. In this situation, the State government must make its stand clear and end this spell of uncertainty once and for all,” he said.
