BJP prepared to handle opposition’s attack on counting day

Monday, 03 JUNE 2024 | PNS | DEHRADUN

The BJP State president Mahendra Bhatt told party leaders to prepare to effectively present the party’s position in front of the media on the day of counting of the votes polled in the Lok Sabha elections. Chairing a meeting of the party’s media team on Sunday, Bhatt issued directions for media coordination to the office bearers while also wishing them in advance for the party’s victory. Informing about the meeting, the BJP State media in-charge Manveer Singh Chauhan said that senior office bearers of the party and members of the media team attended the meeting. Bhatt said in the meeting that history will be made on June 4 with the announcement of the election results which will result in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s re-election to a third term in office. He said, “The party is going to win all the five parliamentary seats in Uttarakhand with a resounding majority. However, we have to be fully prepared to present our position in the media because the opposition will once again blame the EVMs, Election Commission, the administration and the media for its electoral defeat. They will be frustrated but we have to reply to them with patience, logic and figures. We will have to present information about their actions to suppress the media, judiciary and executive. One thing is clear is that the result of this election has been effectively influenced by PM Modi’s guarantee. This kind of a victory is against corruption, familism, appeasement and casteism,” the BJP State president said. BJP State general secretary (Organisation) Ajaey Kumar and general secretary Aditya Kothari also shared their views in the meeting.
