BJP president Nadda takes stock of U’khand disaster

The national president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) J P Nadda called the state president Madan Kaushik on phone on Wednesday to take stock of the ongoing relief works in Uttarakhand after the heavy rains created a disaster like situation in the state. The party has also postponed its events and programmes for the next four days in the state due to the natural disaster in the state. The media in-charge of the party in the state, Manvir Singh Chauhan informed that Kaushik also talked to the district magistrates of the Kumaun division to provide help in the relief work. He also spoke to the senior officials of the party in the districts and directed them to work in coordination with the respective district administrations to provide ration kits, clothes and other necessary items. Kaushik also formed teams of party workers and directed them to provide necessary help and facilities ration kits, clothes and other necessary items to people of the affected areas in the Kumaun division, added Chauhan. He also informed that the BJP state president has postponed all the events of the party till October 24 considering the recent disaster in the state.
