In order to lend pace to its campaign for the Kedarnath Assembly bypoll, the Bharatiya Janata Party released a list of 40 star campaigners on Tuesday. The list includes various national and State level leaders including cabinet ministers.
The list released by the party’s central office includes BJP State president and Rajya Sabha MP Mahendra Bhatt, chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, national general secretary and party’s State in-charge Dushyant Kumar Gautam, State co in-charge Rekha Verma, Union minister of State and Almora MP Ajay Tamta and Rajya Sabha MP Naresh Bansal. The star campaigners also include former chief ministers Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’, Trivendra Singh Rawat, Vijay Bahuguna and Tirath Singh Rawat along with Nainital-Udham Singh Nagar MP Ajay Bhatt and Garhwal MP Anil Baluni.
The cabinet ministers named in the list include Satpal Maharaj, Dhan Singh Rawat, Subodh Uniyal, Ganesh Joshi, Rekha Arya and Saurabh Bahuguna. The other party leaders named as star campaigners include Ajaey, Aditya Kothari, Bharat Singh Chaudhary, Anil Nautiyal, Bhupal Ram Tamta, Deepti Rawat, Dan Singh Rawat, Asha Nautiyal, Jogendra Pundir, Samir Arya, Shashank Rawat, Chandi Prasad Bhatt, Mahavir Singh Panwar, Rishi Kandwal, Raghuvir Singh Bisht, Amardei Shah, Sumant Tiwari, Shakuntala Jagwan, Vachaspati Semwal, Vijay Kaparvan, Dinesh Uniyal and Dinesh Bagwadi. With this development, the BJP has taken a lead on the Congress, which is yet to announce its star campaigners for the bypoll.
