BJP reviews panel of 104 mandals for organisational elections in Uttarakhand

The Bharatiya Janata Party has initiated discussions on the panel of 104 mandals prepared by observers from six districts covering 20 Assembly constituencies as part of its organisational elections. The BJP State media in-charge Manveer Singh Chauhan said that a meeting was held at the party headquarters in Dehradun on Monday in the presence of BJP State president and Rajya Sabha MP Mahendra Bhatt, along with State general secretary (Organisation) Ajaey Kumar, State election officer of the BJP and Rajpur Road MLA Khajan Das and State general secretaries Aditya Kothari and Khilendra Chaudhary.

Chauhan said that discussions on the observers’ reports from various constituencies will continue until February 19. He informed that the senior leadership reviewed the panels of mandal president candidates prepared by observers and considered the social, regional and community dynamics of the respective mandals and districts. On the first day, discussions were completed for several constituencies, including Gangotri, Yamunotri and Purola, Badrinath, Karnaprayag, Tharali, Kedarnath, Rudraprayag, Narendranagar, Tehri, Pratapnagar, Devprayag, Dhanaulti,  Srinagar, Chaubattakhal, Pauri, Lansdowne, Kotdwar and Yamkeshwar.

A total of 104 mandals across these districts were discussed. He said that according to the set schedule, the announcement of mandal presidents will be made by February 20, followed by the election of district presidents between February 20 and 28.
