BJP sends list of probable candidates for by elections to central leadership

The Bharatiya Janata Party has submitted a list of probable candidates for the Badrinath and Manglaur Assembly by elections to the party’s central leadership. Earlier, the observers appointed by the BJP for the Badrinath and Manglaur Assembly by elections had submitted their report to the party’s State president Mahendra Bhatt. The names of probable candidates which emerged were discussed and then submitted to the party’s central leadership. Providing this information, the BJP State general secretary Aditya Kothari expressed hope that the names of the party’s candidates for the by elections will be announced in the next two to three days.

Interacting with the media at the party’s State office here on Thursday, Kothari said that on Wednesday the party’s observer for the Badrinath Assembly constituency and cabinet minister Dhan Singh Rawat and MLA Bharat Singh Chowdhary along with election in-charge Vinod Kaparwan had held detailed discussions with senior workers of the party and prepared their report on the basis of these deliberations. Similarly, for the Manglaur Assembly constituency, party observer and MLA Khajan Das and Kothari along with election in-charge Ajit Chowdhary had prepared their report and submitted it to the party’s State president. The party observers had prepared their reports on the basis of ground survey, social equations and feedback from members of the party organisation in order to make a list of probable candidates for the two Assembly constituencies. Following a detailed review of the reports, Bhatt sent the list of names of the probable candidates to the party’s central leadership. Kothari expressed hope that the BJP central leadership will soon announce the names of the party’s candidates for the Assembly elections in Badrinath and Manglaur. He further claimed that the ground realities in both these Assembly constituencies show that the people have decided in favour of electing the BJP candidates.
