Bharatiya Janata Party State president Mahendra Bhatt has expressed hope that this budget session of the Vidhan Sabha will witness the presentation of a development oriented budget in public interest. The opposition should also play a constructive role in the session, he said.

In his statement released to the media a day ahead of the start of the Assembly budget session, the BJP State president and Rajya Sabha member opined that the State government under chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami is undertaking historic efforts for the all round development of the State. This is evident from the impressive economic statistics of the State, he said. The presentation of the budget at such a time is a cause for excitement and one hopes that this budget will enable the State to rise further on the developmental index, Bhatt added.

He said, “The Assembly is the best platform for raising the voice of the people and the issues related to the public. All the members should make the best of this opportunity. We look forward to the members making the most of the session and indulging in a constructive debate on the bills tabled during this session. I also appeal to the opposition to play a constructive role in the conduct of the session,” Bhatt said. Addressing the members of the opposition, the BJP State president appealed to them to set aside ideas influenced by political differences and participate in the discussion. Considering that the people of the State carefully observe the role of the treasury and opposition benches in the house, all are collectively responsible for enabling the constructive conduct of the house in public interest, he said.
