BJP steps up prepations for campaigning

With the Bharatiya Janata Party leadership reaching the booth level to finalise the party’s programmes for the coming week, the party’s State president Mahendra Bhatt visited Tehri and Uttarkashi districts. In the Tehri Lok Sabha constituency, Bhatt held meetings of the election management committee and the core committee in Pratapnagar and Yamunotri Vidhan Sabha constituencies.
Talking to the media, Bhatt said that the party will hold meetings at every booth from April 1 to 5. In addition to party leaders, women, new voters and all other sections of society will attend these meetings. The party is also aiming to successfully organise 7,000 street gatherings. The third task of the party is to ensure the success of the public rallies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other nationa leaders in the State. The party is aiming to ensure that upto 85 per cent of the total votes are polled in its favour, Bhatt said.
The BJP State media in-charge Manveer Singh Chauhan said that the State government under chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami is fulfilling each of the guarantees given by PM Modi. The party is focusing on raising its vote share by 10 per cent at the booth level, he said.
