BJP thanks U’khand’s people, Modi & Dhami Govts

On the second day of its meeting on Wednesday, the Bharatiya Janata Party working committee passed political resolution thanking the people of Uttarakhand and Champawat, and the Modi and Dhami governments for good governance, service and welfare of the poor. The committee laid its focus on the people and party workers while also appreciating the two-month tenure of the State government under chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami.
Addressing the inaugural session, BJP State president Madan Kaushik said that the working committee was meeting after a long time due to the Covid-19 pandemic. However, even during the Covid pandemic the party workers continued service and social works which further strengthened the party organisation during the pandemic too. He averred that the BJP worker doesn’t work only for the elections but serves the people and works in their interests. He thanked the people of the State and the party workers for electing the BJP to office for a second consecutive term. Kaushik also thanked the people of Champawat for ensuring a thumping win for Dhami who secured about 94 per cent vote share in the Champawat Assembly by-election. The Union minister of State for Defence, Ajay Bhatt brought a political resolution regarding the public welfare works and development achieved by the Central and State governments. The proposal was supported by MP and former CM, Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’, MPs Ajay Tamta and Naresh Bansal while State working committee member Asha Nautiyal, MP Teerath Singh Rawat and former CM Vijay Bahuguna recommended the same.
Speaking on the occasion,the party’s State general secretary (Organisation) Ajaey Kumar exhorted the party workers to ensure the success of organisational works planned for the future. He said that working committee meetings will be held in each district between June 10 and 20. Programmes are being organised for a fortnight now and people who benefitted from Central government schemes are being felicitated following completion of eight successful years by the Central government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Pointing at the importance of social media he said that party workers must remain active on social media and also publicise the schemes of the Central and State governments through it. The party’s State co in-charge Rekha Verma said that the party workers are the backbone of the organisation and it is on their strength that the party was able to form its government in the Centre and State. State in-charge Dushyant Kumar Gautam greeted the party workers on completion of eight years by the Modi government. He also spoke about the various achievements of the Central government.
Addressing the gathering, chief minister Dhami thanked the people of the State and the party workers for ensuring victory of the BJP for a second consecutive term in the State. He especially thanked the people of Champawat for electing him with a thumping 94 per cent vote share. He said that the State government is working on the party’s manifesto. The State government is committed to provide a corruption-free government working for the welfare of the public.
