The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will celebrate the birthdays of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami as service fortnight and Sankalp Diwas respectively. The State president of the party Mahendra Bhatt told media persons here on Wednesday that the party members will go to the public on Dhami’s birthday on 16 September as Sankalp Diwas to make Uttarakhand a leading State of the country by 2025. Several events will also be organized on the occasion of PM’s birthday on September 17 as service fortnight, added Bhatt. Talking about the CM’s achievement after forming the government, he said that Dhami is working swiftly to fulfill all of the promises he made during the election. He said that dozens of works like making the recruitment process transparent, filling the vacancies of Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UKSSSC) through Uttarakhand Public Service Commission, simple land laws, resolving the issue of grade pay of police personnel, and providing 4G/5G network facilities in rural areas are being done under the CM. Bhatt said that the party will organize several public welfare works on Sankalp Diwas to thank Dhami for his incredible work as the CM. Several programmes like vocal for local campaigns, plantation drives, sanitation campaigns, and water conservation among others will be organized on the occasion of the PM’s birthday, informed Bhatt. Meanwhile, on being asked about the party’s situation in Haridwar’s local body elections, he said that BJP will undoubtedly win the elections with a two-thirds majority.
