BJP to discuss various issues in State working committee meet

The Bharatiya Janata Party will discuss various issues during its State working committee meeting to be held in Dehradun on Monday. Union minister and former Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar, BJP State in-charge Dushyant Kumar Gautam, chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and the party’s State president Mahendra Bhatt along with about 1,300 office bearers of the party from across the State will attend the meeting. According to the BJP State media in-charge Manveer Singh Chauhan, motions will be passed in the meeting regarding Prime Minister Narendra Modi being re-elected to a third consecutive term and CM Dhami’s successful three years so far. The planned activities of the party will also be discussed in detail, he said. Considering the recent defeat of the party in the Badrinath and Manglaur Assembly bypolls, the factors which influenced the poll results are also expected to be discussed in the meeting. The BJP State general secretary (Organisation) Ajaey Kumar attended a meeting held at the Graphic Era University auditorium on Sunday regarding preparations for the working committee meeting to be held today. Chauhan said that the working committee meeting will be held in two sessions with the first session starting at 11 AM comprising the formal inauguration and the party’s State president’s address. CM Dhami will deliver the inaugural address after which Union minister of State Ajay Tamta and all other newly elected MPs from the State will be felicitated. Gautam will also deliver an address, after which the best performing booth heads of the party will be felicitated. In the second session, Rajya Sabha MP and national joint treasurer Naresh Bansal will present an analysis of the Lok Sabha elections. Kumar will talk about the party’s planned activities and poll preparations. Khattar will also address the party leaders on the occasion.
