As part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the Bharatiya Janata Party remains committed to providing home to every poor along with electricity, water, gas and toilet to make this Uttarakhand’s decade by 2025. Stating this, the BJP state president Madan Kaushik said that while Atal Bihari Vajpayee was instrumental in creation of Uttarakhand, the BJP government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has developed and nurtured Uttarakhand, and will continue to do so in the future. Addressing the media here on Saturday, Kaushik opined that the people of Uttarakhand are once again going to reject the Congress in the elections as it is mired in corruption, casteism, appeasement and dynastic politics.
Kaushik said, “Today, nobody believes in the promises of development being made by the Congress because it has been proven many times that the Congress can give only scams, not development. Everybody has seen the government of scams and sting operation under Harish Rawat, their biggest face in the state who seems to be in a hurry to become the chief minister. On the other hand, the opposition too has not been able to level even one allegation of corruption on our government.”
Kaushik further alleged that the Congress which always insulted the armed forces and soldiers is now pretending concern for soldiers. He referred to the various steps taken by the central government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi to improve conditions in the defence sector and the state of soldiers. The BJP state government has on several occasions given an account of its work to the people during its five-year term. He questioned why Harish Rawat does not provide an account of works done during the term of the Congress government. The BJP state president listed various measures taken by the State government to bring about improvement in the health, infrastructure and other sectors during its term in office so far. Free cooking gas connections were provided in 4.25 lakh homes under Ujjwala scheme, free ration is being provided to about 15 lakh families during Covid times and going by population density, the highest number of Jan Aushadhi Kendras have been opened in Uttarakhand. In addition to steps executed to benefit the farmers, full right on property has also been ensured for women, he added.
