The Bharatiya Janata Party will prepare 25,000 volunteers in the state to tackle the possible third wave of Covid-19. The state level training programme will start from today, said the BJP state general secretary Suresh Bhatt.
Addressing the media here, Bhatt said that the state level training of volunteers will begin under the national health volunteers campaign in Dehradun on Friday. He said that under the leadership of the BJP national president JP Nadda, the party is doing commendable work in the fight against Covid-19 though this work has not ended yet. Preparations have to be made to prevent a possible third wave. Even if the third wave arrives, the BJP has started the national health volunteers campaign as part of the preparations for tackling with it and defeating Covid. Work is being undertaken at various levels from the national level to the village/booth level under this campaign.
Along with formation of committee at national, state, district and zonal level, the names of two party workers as volunteers from each booth are also being decided for this purpose. The training of the party workers has already started with a national-level training held in Delhi on June 28. The same is now being conducted at various levels in the state. This will begin with the state-level training programme in Dehradun on Friday which will involve the party’s national joint general secretary (organisation) Shiv Prakash, BJP state president Madan Kaushik, state general secretary (organisation) Ajey and Health minister Dhan Singh Rawat providing guidance to the party workers along with training to be provided by experts.
The training will be completed in all districts and zones in August itself. Bhatt further said that being a responsible political party, the BJP is discharging its responsibilities towards the nation and society. This is why the party will train at least two party workers from each booth to raise public awareness in the village and booth and tackle the possible third wave of Covid-19.
