In latest news from Doon, the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami mourned the death of a senior BJP leader and social activist from Pithoragarh Kundan Tolia. Tolia held several important posts in BJP’s Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe wing aside from being the Munsyari block president from 1998 to 2008. He was also the vice-chairman of the Pithoragarh municipal council for some years.
Notably, he was the father of the additional secretary to the CM Sanjay Tolia.
Condoling the death, the CM said that the death of the 82-year-old veteran was an irreparable loss for the party. “He built the party brick by brick in Pithoragarh district,” he added in his message.
