State govt declares holiday in Nainital

In latest news from Dehradun, following the death of the veteran BJP leader Puran Chandra Sharma who was a cabinet minister of undivided Uttar Pradesh and the former State BJP chief, the Uttarakhand Secretariat has issued a notice, stating that as the departed leader’s cremation would be held in Nainital district from which he hailed all the State government offices would remain closed in that district as mark of respect to him. Besides, as per the notice, his mortal remains would be cremated with full police honours.
