There has been considerable development in the mountainous regions during the past five years, said Union minister for State, general (retd) VK Singh. Campaigning for the BJP candidate from Badrinath constituency Mahendra Bhatt, he said that the villages are now connected by road while the people are benefitting from various government schemes. If the BJP is re-elected in Uttarakhand, it will ensure double the development which has been achieved in the past five years. Bhatt said that during his five-year term, he had facilitated road links to the majority of the villages in the constituency. Stating that he had also facilitated implementation of all central government schemes, he vowed to carry forward the development works if given another chance by the voters.
